About
Mainland Furniture is a locally owned and operated Christchurch furniture retailer, in business since 2002. It began by selling wholesale to other retailers, and after moving into its current Sydenham showroom in 2005, in the former Cross Brothers Butchery building on Colombo Street, it turned to selling directly to the public. The range centres on solid wood furniture for the bedroom, dining room and living room, including an oak furniture collection and a recycled pine range. The team works with export-oriented manufacturers overseas, adds its own input on designs to suit Kiwi homes, and visits the factories to inspect the furniture. Raw timber is sourced through managed forestry, and orders are delivered from Christchurch to homes throughout New Zealand.

- Showroom open seven days: Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm
- Own delivery service within Christchurch, with furniture carried inside your home
- Nationwide delivery by freight carrier, with flat-rate shipping per order to most urban areas
- In-stock orders are dispatched from the warehouse within 48 hours
- Pick-up from the Sydenham showroom, or from the Hornby warehouse by appointment
- Most furniture arrives fully assembled; beds come in three or four parts
- 365-day warranty covering manufacturing faults
