What ERO found
The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a School Evaluation Report from October 2025. ERO found that most students are engaged and progressing well, with very strong achievement.
In literacy and numeracy, almost all Year 9 students and a large majority in Year 10 are at or above the expected curriculum level, a large majority gain NCEA Level 1, almost all gain Levels 2 and 3, most gain University Entrance, and achievement is equitable for Māori students. ERO also noted thorough wellbeing and pastoral support, settled classrooms and well-established foundations for improvement.
ERO found that a small majority of students attend school regularly, short of the Government’s target. Its priorities are to refine the school’s framework for consistent teaching and learning, give students more choice while supporting their wellbeing and achievement, and build stronger evaluation skills across the school.
